An unprecedented $14trn (£8.8trn) greening of the global economy is the only way to ensure long-term sustainable growth, according to a stark warning delivered to political and business leaders as they descended on the World Economic Forum in Davos yesterday.
Only a sustained and dramatic shift to infrastructure and industrial practices using low-carbon technology can save the world and its economy from devastating global warming, according to a Davos-commissioned alliance led by the former Mexican President, Felipe Calderon, in the most dramatic call so far to fight climate change on business grounds.
This includes everything from power generation, transport, and buildings to industry, forestry, water and agriculture, according to the Green Growth Action Alliance, created at last year’s Davos meeting in Mexico.

I figure that the “green” effort — when it comes down from the investor class and the mega-corporate boards of directors — is really about rationing energy.
Post-peak oil, the world changes from a place where people “can” waste ridiculous amounts of energy into one where energy must be rationed as a vital resource over which the hardest of wars may be fought.
In this context, you have three options:
(1) Try to live as energy-wastefully as we have all been habituated to (“addicted to”), and deny all their efforts to impose energy-rationing frameworks on us, but make no personal efforts to conserve energy or discover and promote clean and-or abundant energy alternatives.
(2) Just go with the flow and get some of that $14 trillion dollars in fraudulent money from the “we bought the whole world with leveraged debt that was lent into existence for us and by us”-crowd, because the average person on the street is so thick-headed about learning the truth, and the LBO Davos Crowd’s money IS as good as anyone else’s, so you can “get rich” serving their will and take the path-of-least resistance going forward by so doing.
(3) Start taking action to get energy-independent and economically-independent of the globalization grid now. This is going to be quite hard, because the globalization gang always attacks human populations that are independent of it because (a) they get stronger the more people are dependent on them and (b) resources such as food, water, and energetic hydrocarbons either go to their gang or to rivals and they’d prefer it be them. In a world where each and every individual person makes the individual choice to “give up” and “join the winning team” and do what’s wrong instead of what’s right because they feel powerless to change anything, what else can possibly happen except the total victory of evil over good? This is a war on many dimensions besides the “shooting army here versus shooting army there” dimension. It’s a spiritual war, and it’s an economic war. And the fundamentally limiting resources of water, food, and electricity are the hard-limiting resources around which everyone will be ultimately forced to choose a side.
So take option (3) now and start getting off the globalists’ control grid and finding communities that provide the necessities of life for independence from tyranny. We can still preserve a lot of the creature comforts of grid life, but we must at least get the basics apart from them, or else no one will be able to stop the global take-over.
