A petition posted on the White House petition website is calling for the repeal of President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize. The petition reads,
“The Nobel Peace Prize, since 1901, has sought to award “…the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”
The American people stand in moral outrage over the Obama administration’s blatant disregard for the peace and welfare of the globe. The administration has proclaimed peace, while promoting war in the face of international opposition.
It is the belief of those committed to this petition that the Obama administration’s support for Al Qaeda linked rebels in Syria and incessant drone strikes across the middle east substantiate the immediate repeal of President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize.”
The petition requires 100,000 signatures by October 14 in order to receive a response from the White House.
