Update (Jan. 28, 2018): An emerging narrative in the MSM is painting the “Big tech backlash” as a result of “Russian meddling” and other “bad actors” like right-wing extremists “abusing” social media platforms. Will the tech giants issue an “apology”? Is this a case of “Please don’t throw me in the briar patch!”?

Several days before the world elite gathered at Davos, Old-Thinker News reported on the threat of “Big tech” and the power behind it.

Now, George Soros - who has notoriously meddled in world affairs for decades and threatened the end of Trump by 2020 - has suddenly joined the calls for social media giants and Google to be held accountable.

Soros stated at Davos that Facebook and Google have “far-reaching adverse consequences on the functioning of democracy, particularly on the integrity of elections.”

Is Soros attempting to co opt the movement to bring accountability to big tech?

The only way to know is to watch what kind of “solutions” the billionare pushes.

Additionally, we must pay attention to what is attached to any kind of “internet bill of rights” legislation.

A.I. driven local news and information to replace national news and user content?

Here’s what we do know; the current trend for social media and Google is A.I. powered and “vetted” hyper-local news and information. This is the direction that the tech giants could possibly go as a “solution” for the damage done by the “fake news” driving “addiction inducing” system currently employed.

What is Soros’ angle? Time will tell. Watch the money.
