ICE Reports 38 Percent Increase in Human Trafficking Arrests in 2019

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is reporting a 38% increase in human trafficking arrests in 2019 compared to last year.

Charlotte, North Carolina is the 4th ranking area for trafficking activity.

Local media reports, “One reason Charlotte is a hub for human trafficking is because interstates 77 and 85 lead to shipping ports”.
