10 states oppose North American Union

Resistance is gathering to proposals which would further the creation of a North American Union between Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Several states have introduced Anti North American Union proposals within the past year. The following is a list of the states with their respective proposals.

Georgia

A RESOLUTION urging the United States Congress to withdraw the United States from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and from any other bilateral or multilateral activity that seeks the economic merger of the United States with any other country; and for other purposes. Illinois

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 14 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Congress of the United States, and particularly, the legislative delegation to congress of the State of Illinois, are hereby urged and petitioned to use all of their efforts, energies and diligence to withdraw the U.S. from any further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (link)

Missouri

Urges Congress to withdraw the United States from any further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other multilateral activity which seeks to advance the creation of the North America Union (link)

Montana

A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MONTANA OPPOSING ANY EFFORT TO IMPLEMENT A TRINATIONAL POLITICAL, GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY AMONG THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, AND MEXICO; OPPOSING THE SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP OF NORTH AMERICA AND INITIATIVES PURSUED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PARTNERSHIP THAT THREATEN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE UNITED STATES; OPPOSING A NORTH AMERICAN UNION; AND OPPOSING THE NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT SUPERHIGHWAY SYSTEM. Oregon

...we, the members of the Seventy-fourth Legislative Assembly, respectfully request that the Congress of the United States withdraw the United States from further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and other activities that advance, authorize, fund or promote the creation of a North American Union. South Carolina

REQUESTING THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES TO WITHDRAW THE UNITED STATES FROM THE SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP OF NORTH AMERICA AND ANY OTHER ACTIVITY THAT SEEKS TO CREATE A NORTH AMERICAN UNION, AND REQUESTING THE CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO WORK TO WITHDRAW THE UNITED STATES FROM THE SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP OF NORTH AMERICA AND ANY OTHER ACTIVITY THAT SEEKS TO CREATE A NORTH AMERICAN UNION. South Dakota

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION,  Urging that the United States withdraw from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other bilateral or multilateral activity that seeks to create a North American Union. (link)

Utah

This resolution of the Legislature urges the United States to withdraw from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other activity which seeks tocreate a North American Union. (link)

Virginia

A Concurrent Resolution from the Legislature of the State of Virginia to the Congress of the United States of America and to the Congressional Delegation of the State of Virginia.  A petition to Congress to withdraw the U. S. from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other bilateral or multilateral activity which seeks to create a North American Union. (link)

Washington

NOW, THEREFORE, Your Memorialists respectfully pray that the Congress of the United States, and particularly the legislative delegation to Congress of the state of Washington, use all of their efforts, energies, and diligence to withdraw the United States from anyfurther participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America...
