In response to the
corporate infiltration of the popular video sharing website You Tube,
activist Chris Arnold has created a separate, uncensored website that
will allow alternative media to flourish.
With the launch of
www.infowarstv.com, the alternative media is continuing
its exponential growth. This growth will only continue as newspapers and
other mainstream publications begin to move to the internet platform,
only to
charge subscription fees for
news and information. Self proclaimed internet critic and author Andrew
Keen
told the Futurist magazine that
the internet as it exists today
has undermined mainline media and empowered untrustworthy amateurs. The
"new web" will reverse this trend, says Keen. "Rather than the
empowerment of the amateur, Web 3.0 will show the resurgence of the
professional," states Keen.
