A House-Senate conference report this week called on the Administration to accelerate the use of civilian unmanned aerial systems (UAS), or “drones,” in U.S. airspace.
The pending authorization bill for the Federal Aviation Administration directs the Secretary of Transporation to develop within nine months “a comprehensive plan to safely accelerate the integration of civil unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system.”
“The plan… shall provide for the safe integration of civil unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system as soon as practicable, but not later than September 30, 2015.”

It should be no surprise the fascist—National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 sec. 1097 included establishing a program to integrate unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system to spy on U.S. Citizens.
It should be noted not all drones are planes. Several U.S. and Israeli companies are now developing drones the size of bumblebees that can fly into your backyard, inside your home, garage and business warehouse. Should U.S. homeowners and businesses have the right to demolish with a baseball bat or flyswatter small drones discovered trespassing inside their property? Property owners can’t determine if a trespassing drone has a search warrant. It will be interesting to see how courts rule on lawsuits brought by injured civilian pilots and air passengers against federal and local police agencies whose unmanned drones caused aviation accidents.
Wealthy people, movie stars buy multimillion-dollar homes in e.g. Beverley Hills to enjoy large private backyards. Should real estate brokers disclose to these wealthy clients the government’s new U.S. drone spying program—eliminated any expectation of backyard privacy?
Oh, its gonna’ get worse! With the introduction of nano-sensors to be attached to or imbedded into every “thing”, to create the “Internet of Things”, those in control of these technologies will be able to spy on people without them even realizing its happening. Of course, they’ll say its for our “safety”, and to secure the Fatherland, oops, I mean Homeland! The technological nightmare has just begun!
Man’s home suddenly bursts into flame! Fire was extremely hot, took hours to put out! Supposedly made call to friend to tell him this was the end! Hmmmm?

On December 30 of last year, ABC News reported on a 16-year-old Pakistani boy, Tariq Khan, who was killed with his 12-year-old cousin when a car in which he was riding was hit with a missile fired by a U.S. drone. As I noted at the time, the report contained this extraordinary passage buried in the middle:
Asked for documentation of Tariq and Waheed’s deaths, Akbar did not provide pictures of the missile strike scene. Virtually none exist, since drones often target people who show up at the scene of an attack.
What made that sentence so amazing was that it basically amounts to a report that the U.S. first kills people with drones, then fires on the rescuers and others who arrive at the scene where the new corpses and injured victims lie.
