Big Tech Superheroes Meeting In Private Today To Protect Midterms From The Russians

Just in case you were worried about the sneaky Russians interfering in the midterms, Big Tech has it covered. They are meeting in secret today at Twitter headquarters to make sure our elections will not be tampered with.

Facebook cybersecurity chief Nathaniel Gleicher writes in an email obtained by Buzzfeed that the meeting will discuss “disinformation campaigns” and “information operations, election protection, and the work we are all doing to tackle these challenges”.

Big Tech is positioning themselves as the hero stopping the evil forces of election meddling (Russians, or is it Alex Jones?) before the historic midterm elections.

The companies met in May with representatives from the FBI and Homeland Security on election meddling, but buzzfeed writes that tech company attendees were “discouraged” when they received “little information from the government”.

The entire narrative is based on flimsey evidence of Russian troll farms. Meanwhile, the companies are colluding to de-platform conservative voices with no connection to Russia.

Big Tech has a problem. Their narrative doesn’t work in the real world. The only meaningful meddling is coming from Big Tech. Trump has announced plans to counter their censorship. The more they push, the more people walk away from the establishment.
