The New York Post reported that the meeting discussed population control programs. As to secrecy, a guest said, “They wanted to speak rich to rich without worrying anything they said would end up in the newspapers, painting them as an alternative world government.”

A number of celebrities, philanthropists and politicians have been staying on Kiawah since Wednesday.

Officials with Kiawah Island confirmed exclusively to News 2 that big names such as New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, TV host Oprah Winfrey, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and billionaire Warren Buffet flew into the Charleston Executive airport on Johns Island Wednesday night.

The famous guests were attending a two day long conference led by Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Officials say the meeting was about the foundation Gates and his wife Melinda run.
