Iran War? Invisible Power Structure Still Influences Presidency

President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s legendary farewell speech warned America of the pervasive influence of the Military Industrial Complex.

This power structure is still influencing the Presidency today, as clearly seen with recent events.

In 1968, Life Magazine profiled Herman Kahn, one of the main figures that influenced the film Dr. Strangelove.

Life identified Kahn as part of a group of powerful individuals who “have access to future technology” and “official intelligence” that is not disclosed.

The article states that this group “…can commit a nation to social programs and military actions which have neither been fully explained nor publicly debated”.

Herman Kahn is known as one of the founding fathers of future studies. After working for the RAND Corporation, Kahn founded the Hudson Institute in 1961.

Kahn is quoted in the Pentagon’s recently released Nuclear Operations doctrine, which promotes first strike options against Iran.

The December 6, 1968 edition of Life Magazine details Kahn’s career, and the larger implications of an unprecedented shift of power to unelected “action intellectuals.” As Life Magainze reports,

“…Herman Kahn has been a major figure in one of the most fascinating shifts of power in U.S. History: from identifiable public leaders to the ‘action intellectuals.’ As counselors to the decision-makers, men such as Kahn often have access to future technology (what is known, but not yet disclosed) and official intelligence (what is known, but not yet revealed, about the capacities and plans of other nations).

Thus, decisions – based on private knowledge, analyzed by private consultants and debated in private – can become public policy. This is a process of invisible power. At its extreme this influence can commit a nation to social programs and military actions which have neither been fully explained nor publicly debated. One day, as that power pervades and grows more sophisticated, it may so affect the course of government that any nation’s policies may be locked in, as if by automatic pilot, years before the men who are elected to govern ever take office.”

Shadowy figures like Kahn still maintain influence over U.S. foreign policy, outside the oversight of the President.

  1. Hmmm

Eisenhower’s speech may well go down in US history as one of the most deceptive ever heard by the American people because of what he left out. Namely, the cabal that controlled the “Military Industrial Complex” as well as the Presidency (minus Kennedy and Carter) then, just as they still do today. Bearing in mind that it was Eisenhower that tried to use the fledgling CIA to clandestinely overthrow various Muslim countries in the Middle East during the 1950’s. Countries which presented even less of a threat to the US then than they did when we bagan invading them again for israel in the aftermath of 9-11. You will never guess which countries he “targeted” for regime change more than 60 years ago. Lets see know, I bet most people have heard of them: Iraq, Iran, Libya, Egypt etc….. And he carried out this secret operation to wage war, yes “regime change is in fact considered an act of war” without the permission, consultation or even notification of the Congress, let alone the American people. Who do you suppose uncovered and put a stop to these blatant and illegal acts of war? Why it was then Senator John F. Kennedy, who of course as we all know, was assassinated just a few years later. Just a short time after he began to shut down the Federal Reserve in order to return the control of economy back over to the Constitutional mandated US Treasury. And it was not long after he Israel’s demand to get access to nuclear weapons………The cabal that was pulling the strings behind the curtain then and is now doing so brazenly out in the open is of course the Zionists.
